Sporty & Rich, the Emily Oberg-founded brand known for its wellness-inspired athleisure apparel and accessories, is partnering with The Carlyle hotel on a vintage-inspired line.

The Carlyle has been an Upper East Side fixture on 76th Street and Madison Avenue in New York City since 1930.

The collection will include cashmere sets, cropped hoodies, oversize shirts, varsity jackets and caps, all designed to “capture the classic New York aesthetic synonymous with the hotel’s storied heritage,” the companies said. The palette includes forest green, merlot, heather gray and ivory, with select items featuring The Carlyle’s iconic Madison Avenue address.

The collection will be available beginning Friday.

Beginning Friday, the limited-edition collection will be available on the Sporty & Rich website, at the brand’s flagship in New York as well as at The Carlyle hotel, its online boutique and its parent company’s website, rosewood.com. The Carlyle is part of the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

The collaboration with The Carlyle follows the June 2024 release of Sporty & Rich’s capsule collection for Asaya, Rosewood’s integrative wellness and lifestyle concept. That collection consisted of 14 limited-edition pieces in a new colorway designed exclusively for Asaya.

Sporty & Rich was founded by Oberg in 2014. She first rose to fame with a Sporty & Rich Instagram account, which was essentially a mood board for health, wellness and affluence. The account eventually turned into the brand, which has more than 700,000 followers on Instagram, and has launched collaborations with other companies such as Adidas, Clark’s and Lacoste.
