Spring 'Gardening for Everyone' to offer free classes in Centralia
Apr. 5—The Washington State University Lewis County Extension Master Gardening Program will offer a day of free classes as part of its Spring Gardening for Everyone event.
The series of classes will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in Washington Hall on the Centralia College campus. The hall is located at 715 W. Pear St.
Pre-registration is not required.
The workshops available at the event include:
—A Beginner's Guide to Successfully Growing Peonies (9 to 10:30 a.m.)
—Growing and Raising Berries (9 to 10:30 a.m.)
—Cosmo Cultivar Vegetables — Primeros Pasos (How to Cultivate Vegetables presented in Spanish) (10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.)
—Biosolids Compost (10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.)
—Mason Bees Basics (12:45 to 2:15 p.m.)
—Lavender 101 (12:45 to 2:15 p.m.)
Attendees will also be able to visit vendor and information tables in the lobby before and in between presentations.
