ST. LOUIS — Have you ever dreamed of owning a $645,000 home for the cost of a raffle ticket? Thanks to the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway and Fischer Homes, this dream home will become a reality for one lucky person!

The exclusive VIP sneak peek of the 2024 St. Jude Dream Home took place Thursday night. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital hosted the home’s ribbon cutting and  thanked the builders, media, and prize sponsors, including Fox 2 News, Frank Leta Honda and more!

“This particular dream home by itself will raise 1.6 million dollars for the children of St. Jude and the treatment they receive for their families. To ensure that they receive the best treatment and that they never receive a bill for travel, treatment or food for St. Jude,” said Lathon Ferguson, ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Area Executive Director.

Fischer Homes built the dream home, which boasts an impressive 3,301 square feet of living space with four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a stunning floor-to-ceiling cultured stone fireplace in the two-story great room. A former patient and his family, Terri and Nicholas Safdari, attended to show support.

“Nicholas, when he was three years old, got diagnosed with a brain tumor. We immediately went to St. Jude, not knowing what was going on. They took us in. I stayed there for months. They saved his life pretty much,” said Terri Safdari, mother of a former St. Jude patient.

Starting July 13th, the dream home will be open to the public every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. until August 11th.

“Just being a part of this has been very special for us. This is our first time doing this. It’s been really fun seeing the whole thing come together and knowing that all the funds are going to support families like us,” said Terri Safdari, mother of a former St. Jude patient.

Thanks to generous donors  and individual contributors, St. Jude continues  its groundbreaking work with treatments that have pushed the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since its inception over 50 years ago.

Less than 600 tickets are left out of 16,500. You don’t want to miss your chance to support the mission and potentially win your dream home.
