For as many laundry horror stories as I have, I’m extremely grateful to live across the street from a family-owned laundromat. When I work from home, I can run over and move my load to the dryer, and run back before my next call, which makes the task of doing laundry at a laundromat that much easier. And recently, I discovered another gem that makes the chore run so much smoother. Enter: The Laundry Lab Bottle.

The lightweight bottle comes with three interlocking storage compartments — two 9-ounce bottom containers and a smaller top container — with a handle for easy grip. Each compartment has a spill-proof twisting lid that ensures everything stays put in transit to the laundry room or laundromat. So you can finally ditch the jumbo detergent bottles once and for all!

Fill each compartment with your laundry essentials of choice, be it quarters, detergent (liquid, powder, pods, or sheets), fabric softener, or dryer sheets. Each side of the larger bottom containers comes with units for pre-measuring your detergent or softener. On one side, for smaller loads, each “S” denotes 1.5 ounces, for up to six loads. On the other, the “L” is for 2.25-ounce large loads, for up to four loads.

You can also choose to use just one or two of the containers if you’re looking for an even lighter load. I like to use the top for quarters, the middle for detergent, and the bottom for detergent sheets (just in case!).

Instead of lugging bulky bottles for detergent and softener, the 9-inch Laundry Lab Bottle fits neatly into any bag, freeing up tons of space, lightening my already hefty load, and making laundry trips more seamless.

The Laundry Lab Bottle will make a brilliant gift for any dorm dweller starting college. Plus, it’s available on Amazon! Until I get an apartment with an in-unit washer and dryer, the Laundry Lab Bottle is the next best thing.
