Stanley Tucci Just Dropped His Own Line Of Cookware — And It’s Perfect for His Famous Lasagna

Stanley Tucci loves lasagna Bolognese. The actor has waxed poetic about the mouthwatering dish on multiple occasions, citing both its composition and its inherent Italian-ness as strong points. “When you make it right, it’s the perfect meal,” he tells ELLE DECOR, even going so far as to say it’s “the most beautiful thing in the world.”

Recently, this unabashed love has led him to design a lasagna pan of his own, which is now available to shop at Williams Sonoma as part of the latest additions to the Tucci cookware collection.

The Devil Wears Prada star first debuted his kitchen line, a collaboration with Italian brand GreenPan, last year to a decidedly warm reception, with reviewers praising the pots and pans for their chic and timeless designs. The handles, in particular, immediately made the pieces stand out in a crowded marketplace, with elegant cutouts that add a bit of negative space to a pan’s otherwise bulky silhouette.

Now in addition the new lasagna pan, Tucci is pushing that design-forward ethos a bit further with bright new colors options. The inspiration came from vintage Dutch cookware from the ’60s and ’70s, as well as a perhaps unlikelier source from the same era: “A lot of it is based on Fiat colors,” he says. “I just think they’re the coolest.” Tucci admits, though, that he’s not a “car guy,” but he does love a cool, classic automotive design, like the Fiat 500 or Panda.

More importantly, though, cooking with an olive, orange, or gold pan can make the whole experience more joyful. Especially when it comes to entertaining, which Tucci does quite a bit, even sharing the dishes he’s preparing in viral TikTok videos. “Don’t be afraid to try it!” he says. “Have somebody over who you love, open a bottle of wine, and start cooking. If you mess it up, you mess it up...but this cookware makes it easy.”
