'Star Trek: Picard' Offers First Look at Final Season
Joining in on the celebrations over at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount has now released the first teaser for the final season of Star Trek: Picard. While the minute-long clip doesn't shed much light on the third and last season's storyline itself, it does showcase some of the cast members that'll be returning or joining the series alongside Jean-Luc Picard actor Sir Patrick Stewart, including six of the original cast members from Star Trek: The Next Generation: LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates Mcfadden, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner.
"I remember watching the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation almost 34 years ago with my father like it was yesterday. It was the spark that ignited my love for science fiction," said the final season's showrunner Terry Matalas earlier this year. "So, it’s most fitting that the story of Jean-Luc Picard ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the U.S.S. Enterprise."
There's no precise release date for the final season of Star Trek: Picard yet, but the show will return in 2023.
