Star Wars: The Acolyte Shocks with Gory Poster Reveal

Star Wars: The Acolyte might be the most adult Star Wars project yet. That’s if the new poster is anything to go by.

Revealed in a tweet on the official Star Wars Twitter account, we see a bloody lightsaber hilt underneath a dark red streak of blood that mirrors the look of a lightsaber beam.

The caption reads ‘Tomorrow. #TheAcolyte’, teasing a full reveal of the latest Star Wars series. We also get a release date. According to a date written on the bottom of the poster, Star Wars: The Acolyte will premier June 4 on Disney+.

Set at the end of the High Republic era, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, it sees a former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies) and Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game) star.
