Starbucks Is Bringing the Heat With Trio of Spicy New Beverages

Starbucks is bringing the heat with a new line of spicy drinks.

On Monday, April 1, food blogger Markie Devo teased a trio of upcoming iced beverages coming to the popular coffee chain.

"NOT AN APRIL FOOLS!! REALL!!MMMMM!! I love heartburn!!??," Devo prefaced his Instagram post, given the date. "Starbees is hitting us off with a new limited time spicy lemonade refresher menu."

Reportedly, the Spicy Lemonade Refreshers will come in three flavors: Spicy Dragonfruit, Spicy Strawberry and Spicy Pineapple. They will be available at participating Starbucks locations for a limited time starting on April 16.

A description reportedly from Starbucks reads: "Sweet meets heat with the launch of Spicy Lemonade Refreshers. Sweet flavors of Starbucks Refreshers beverages shaken with ice, real fruit inclusions, lemonade and kicked up with a new Spicy Chili Powder Blend that unleashes spicy goodness and awakens the senses - a tropical escape with plenty of heat."

In the comments, Starbucks fans reacted to the trio of spicy drinks. One person wrote, "?? kinda takes away the 'refreshing' aspect lol, but I guess people who like spicy stuff on fruit will be happy."

Another Instagram user commented, "Mmm I’ll happy to pass because I feel like this will taste salty idk why ??."

Yet another person snarked, "but they still can’t bring raspberry syrup back," while someone else pointed out, "just making mocktails at this point ??."

Other Starbucks lovers seemed intrigued by the idea, with one commenting, "I love spicy sweet or spicy fruity! I agree with another comment tho a mango variation would have been ideal."

Someone else wrote, "Idk that strawberry w/a likkle shot a tequila might be something??."
