Starbucks' matte black tumblers are the perfect addition to your spooky season coffee routine
Witches and wizards, ghosts and goblins, gather round: Starbucks’ new matte black cups are the perfect way to kick off spooky season in style.
There’s nothing scary about Starbucks’ latest offering, which joins the likes of their color-changing cups and the company’s infamous selection of holiday cups (which will soon include iridescent cold cups, mirror glitter-gold cold cups and green confetti tumblers!)
The matte black studded tumbler was first spotted by Reddit user FlwerP0wer, who posted the discovery on the r/Starbucks Reddit forum in August. The 24-ounce, all-black design features the traditional Starbucks logo and is covered top to bottom in raised studs.
Naturally, lovers of coffee and all things Halloween have been eager to get their hands on the spectacularly spooky tumbler. But something this ghostly good can’t stay on shelves for long — and many Twitter users have bemoaned the fact that they are impossible to find.
I’ve come to the conclusion that I will never get my hands on the matte black studded cup. No Starbucks in my area has them or they sell out quickly as soon as they come in.

I've been looking for the matte black stuffed tumbler and they're going for like $100 on eBay 😒

The tumbler is sold at Starbucks locations for $18.95, but some Starbucks devotees have taken to resale sites to get their hands on the unique studded creation. The tumblers are currently available on Amazon and eBay, ranging in price from $30 to $78. And if the studded version isn’t quite your style, a similar, smooth matte black tumbler is still available on Amazon.
