A stately home on the "world's most beautiful drive" in Peoria Heights recently sold for over $1 million.
The brick-and-stone, two-story house on N. Grandview Drive offers views of the Illinois River and the Country Club of Peoria golf course, Zillow noted. The 4,774 square foot home has four bedrooms and four baths and sits on a 1-acre lot.
Built in 1938, the house was fully renovated in 2017. It has new windows, electrical, plumbing and paint. It offers hardwood flooring throughout the first and second floors. The "custom Amish kitchen has ... double ovens and 2 dishwashers, butler’s pantry, and built in custom cabinetry." A four-seasons sunroom overlooks the "park-like backyard and patio." Three new bathrooms include heated flooring. The second floor includes a laundry room.
The home was listed by Keller Williams Premier Realty. It sold for $1.35 million on Aug. 28.
