Inspired by vintage Wrangler advertisements and Staud founder Sarah Staudinger’s favorite pair of Wrangler jeans, the brands describe the partnership as one that “emphasizes classic denim construction” and “feminine designs to deliver a thoughtfully curated collection that effortlessly blends classic Americana-style with contemporary design features and looks.”
“The overall style versatility and uniquely designed pieces within this collaboration represents the best of both brands and presents today’s fashion seekers with a powerful blend of classic looks and original fits,” said Holly Wheeler, Wrangler VP of global brand marketing. “We have co-authored a collection that is well-timed with how denim is currently showing up as a central element in fashion and self-expression.”
Comprised of elevated essentials in two mix-and-match washes, the eight-piece collection offers a flare jean, bra top, zip-up jumpsuit, vest, pencil skirt, jacket with exaggerated cuffs and chambray Western shirtdress. Garments feature both brands’ logos while the jeans belt loops spell out Staud.
The limited collection is available on both brands’ websites and in Staud stores. It retails for $95-$350.
Founded in 2015, Staud has carved a niche in the women’s market with its colorful take on wardrobe staples and whimsical dresses. It also offers denim such as denim blazers, painted pants and jeans. Staud previously collaborated with Birkenstock, Keds and New Balance.
“We are beyond excited to partner with Wrangler for this collection,” Staudinger said. “Wrangler’s heritage in denim aligns with our brand ethos of creating pieces that are timeless while feeling fresh. Together, we have created a collection that combines Wrangler’s iconic styles and infuses them with our DNA.”
The drop is Wrangler’s second in as many weeks. The brand launched a retro cowboy collection with Parisian label Sandro that reinterprets archival Western designs. The collection is available now on Sandro’s EU website and will launch in the U.S. at a later date.
