Stay ‘cool and connected’ at New Orleans’ White Linen Night this Saturday

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On Saturday, Fidelity Bank’s White Linen Night will be one of New Orleans’ biggest events for locals.

Julia Street will be packed with art lovers all wearing white linen and exploring all the spots on Gallery Row for the 30th annual event.

One of the hottest spots to cool down is the brand new social club, Common House New Orleans, which used to be the Louisiana Children’s Museum.

“504ward used to host parties here when this was the Children’s Museum, so Common House is the new venue, and a lot of people haven’t seen the space,” said New Orleans Business Alliance CEO and President Louis David.

Fresh and fashionable looks for White Linen Night

He’s excited for their “504ward Cool and Connected” party that’s being hosted at Common House New Orleans.

“504ward is an integral part in building the business community. It is a really great opportunity to network and grab some air conditioning during one of New Orleans’ best nights, which is White Linen Night,” he said.

Local art, drinks and food will all make the night bright.

“We have quite a few dishes that we will be serving up like our tuna lettuce cups, in which we use a really nice blue fin tuna, a signature sauce and a sunflower crunch,” said Common House New Orleans Executive Sous Chef Ian Mitchell.

504ward Cool & Connected is a young professional networking event that will take place at Common House and bring young, emerging professionals and art patrons together with artists in a relaxed and casual environment for an interactive art experience.

In addition to welcome cocktails, food and music from DR. JAX, party goers will also have the opportunity to explore the newly opened Common House and take in the works of local artists including Bmike (Studio BE), Trenity Thomas, Ink Boi and others. Fashion illustrator Rhonda Corely will be on site doing live sketching of the fashion of the evening, and Tyrell Shaw will be unveiling new work during the event.

The “504ward Cool & Connected” party aims to elevate the cool.

“We have an artist activation on Saturday night, with Rhonda Corely, that she will be sketching people’s fashions. We’re really excited to see what people wear, and document the night,” he said.

Tickets are available online and they will sell tickets for the party at the door.

Fidelity Bank’s White Linen Night goes from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. all along Julia Street. Drinks and food will be sold. Money raised will help to support Arts District New Orleans.
