If you thought the first Beautiful Boy trailer was a tear-jerker, wait until you see the newest sneak peek at the film starring Steve Carell and Timothee Chalamet.

The story follows the harrowing memoirs of both David Sheff and his son Nic. Dad David, played by Carell, is desperate to help Nic, portrayed by Chalamet, beat his battle with drug addiction. What unfolds between the pair is a raw depiction of family and Nic and David’s struggle to try and piece their relationship back together.

The latest trailer is rife with emotional moments, from heated arguments to flashbacks of Carell telling a toddler-aged Nic that, “I love you more than anything.” Viewers also gain more insight into each man's journey-both a father's undying love and a son's desperate hope of making those who care about him "proud."

Scenes ranging from Carell weeping to Chalamet sharing a happy moment with his siblings continue to fill the new clip. And by the time you hear Carell telling his on-screen child, “What you have is extraordinary, and you’re gonna get it back,” you will need all the tissues. Trust us.

The Amazon-produced movie also stars Maura Tierney, who won a Golden Globe award for her role in The Affair, and Amy Ryan, who’s work in Gone Baby Gone scored her an Oscar nomination.

With a cast that includes Hollywood’s finest-Chalamet and Carrel have both been nominated for Academy Awards as well-this retelling of the Sheffs' story is one you won’t want to miss once it hits theaters on October 12.
