Stop Everything: The First ‘Downton Abbey' Movie Trailer Is Here
Someone ring for Carson, because we need to be picked up off the floor.
The first trailer for the Downton Abbey movie just dropped, and OMG—it’s going to be epic.
The one-minute-and-13-second trailer brings us right back to the Grantham estate, where the maids are making preparations for the arrival of someone…although who it is, we can only guess. There’s also someone on a bicycle riding up to the Abbey, and we’re wondering what important message he carries for the Crawleys.
Directed by Michael Engler and written by Julian Fellowes (who created the TV show), the movie will see the return of Henry Talbot (Matthew Goode), Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery), Lady Cora (Elizabeth McGovern), the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith), Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael), Anna Bates (Joanne Froggatt), John Bates (Brendan Coyle), the Earl of Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) and more. The movie is set to premiere on September 20, 2019.
Now, if you’ll please excuse us, we have to go rewatch all six TV seasons in preparation.
