Store clerk pulls BB gun on customer for holding up the line
A cashier in Tennessee apparently wasn’t having it when a customer held up his line. The unidentified clerk told local broadcast station Fox 17 Tennessee that he pulled a BB gun on the customer, who police said was arguing that the clerk gave him the wrong change.
The altercation took place last month at D&J Market in a Nashville suburb. After the two men started yelling and cursing at each other, the clerk reportedly pointed the BB gun at the customer. Police said the customer tried to record the altercation on his phone, and the clerk allegedly threw the gun at him, but didn’t fire any shots.
The clerk said he wasn’t afraid for his safety — he just wanted to man to leave his store.
“This situation could have easily escalated,” Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers said in a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle. He added that the weapon looked real, and the victim had no way of knowing it was a BB gun. “Thankfully no one was injured,” Flowers said.
