Is This Straight Air to Superman the Best Combo Ever Done on a Surfboard?

The Perfect Swell wavepool in Brazil's Boa Vista Village is a chlorine dream. Combining the best elements of every wave pool to come before it, it offers a steep open face, a fun tube, and most importantly, two perfect air sections on the same wave. It's as if they copied Bali's Bingin and added two wild ramps in the middle of each wave.

In the edit above, an all-star cast links up with Gabriel Medina and Italo Ferreira for a day at the pool, and while everyone has some dizzying highlights, it was Ferreria that stole the show. His speed and pop is unmatched in the pool, and he went bigger and higher with every chance he got.

At 0:45 he greases a perfect straight air and combos it up with a massive superman, and at 16:10 he does a huge tweaked punt, snap, and then another — somehow even bigger — straight air to finish, with a pop shuv in the whitewater for good measure.

Which combo is better? You be the judge. But as far as we're concerned, both are in the running for the best combo ever done on a surfboard.

What beats it?

OK, well maybe this. But only because it's in the ocean.
