'Stretchy, light and comfortable': Celeb-beloved Allbirds shoes are on rare sale
Stylish and sustainable, these bestsellers can be tossed in the washer when they need a little TLC.
Everybody needs comfortable shoes they can rely on for running a few errands or doing a lot of walking on vacation — even celebs. Stars including Blake Lively, Cindy Crawford, Hilary Duff, Kate Hudson and Jennifer Garner have been spotted about town over the years in sneakers from one of the top brands on the market, Allbirds. As luck would have it, we've spotted a pair of Allbirds' bestsellers — the Tree Dasher 2s — in a perfectly pleasing shade of pale blue on sale for $101.
With a sustainable eucalyptus tree fiber upper, natural rubber outsole, recycled plastic shoe laces and a Merino wool heel cushion, these sneakers don't just look good — they're made of materials you can feel good about too.
Why is this a good deal? ??
While these Allbirds faves aren't bargain-basement sneakers, this is a great price for a shoe beloved by starry trendsetters like Lively and Garner (who loves a comfy pair of sneaks). At nearly $35 off, they're the best price we're seeing across the 'net — plus, the pretty blue is so perfect for late summer.
Why do I need these? ??
Designed for everyday walks, jogs and light workouts, the Tree Dasher 2 is the brand's reimagining of an everyday active shoe — one with more responsive foam, extra grip, and an improved fit to keep you moving and comfortable all day long. They have a slightly sporty angled heel that softens impact and reduces strain on your feet as you move, and they're available in women's sizes 5 to 11.
They're easy to care for too. Simply remove the laces and insoles, toss them in a delicates bag, machine-wash them on a gentle cycle and let them air-dry — because they're made with wool and natural materials, you don't want to toss them in the dryer. They'll return to their natural shape after a wear or two. Hand wash the laces and insoles for best results.
What reviewers say ??
Over 2,700 reviewers give these sneaks a festive five stars, saying they're the total package: comfy, stylish and long-lasting.
Pros ??
"I usually hate wearing sneakers, but I've never had ones as comfortable as the Tree Dashers," wrote one reviewer who said they wear them for walking, commuting and workouts. "So stretchy, light and comfortable. High arch support, lots of space in the toe box. It feels like I'm walking on sponges. And as someone who walks several miles a day, these hold up a long time. My original Dashers are going on three years now."
"I wore these shoes for long periods of time walking around Europe," wrote another reviewer. "They went with everything, jeans, skirt, leggings. Plus they're easy to wash and keep clean so they look new all the time."
"Very comfy shoe, I like the tongueless part because I always feel like that shifts around," said a third fan. "Also very supportive without having to place an insert in the shoe. I have bad joints and have not had any issues standing or walking around in these. Toe box is generous as well."
Cons ??
Some reviewers aren't thrilled with a particular seam on the shoe. "My high arches made for a tiny bit of pressure on the top of my foot, but my only real complaint is a rough seam near the right heel that eventually caused an abrasion. I'll probably just wear a preemptive Band-Aid going forward," reasoned one.
A few others aren't fans of the prominent heel. "Love the color and good fit. Like that they are lighter weight," said a final reviewer. "Not loving the heel that sticks out in the back that many running shoes have these days. I catch the back on stairs and have to be careful."
Cindy Crawford, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner and more famous faces have sported these classy kicks around town — don't you deserve to accessorize like the stars?

Over 15,000 five-star fans of these Amazon standouts say you don't have to spend big for a shoe that can get the job done — and look good doing it. They come in a ton of colors, and extra-wide sizes are available too.
"I was looking for a good walking shoe that wouldn’t put my toes to sleep after 3-4 miles," said this happy buyer. "I had bought another name brand, spending more than double the price, that were a total fail. These are way more comfortable (great cushioning and support), don't put my toes to sleep (I'm now walking 5-6 miles a day) and need no breaking in. ... They are also better looking than those other shoes and wash like a dream."
