This stylist is so good at doing rainbow hair even men want to try it
One hair stylist is so good at creating unicorn hair, her male customer tried out the trend.
Chita Beseau is a Las Vegas-based hair stylist so adored for her vibrant cascade of color combos that her waitlist includes brides and appointments booked all the way from Europe. Beseau is a beauty expert on the Lifetime television show American Beauty Star hosted by Adriana Lima, but her best work lives on her Instagram page, where she showcases her captivating “hair art.”
“Custom color is a movement of personal creativity and freedom, and anyone can try it,” Beseau tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “People book rainbow hair for weddings, concerts, or because they want something different, like glow-in-the-dark hair.”

Beseau has never refused a client based on hair color or texture — her only rule is that tresses must be healthy. That’s because whether it’s a blonde, brunette, or redhead, whoever sits in Beseau’s chair is getting bleached. “In order to apply these colors, I need to dye the hair the lightest shade of blond — think Mother of Dragons — so the added color will pop,” she says, adding that she uses Pravana hair products.
Sessions begin at $300, and the colors last between four and 12 shampoos, depending on the upkeep. “To maintain color, it’s best to use sulfate-free shampoo and wash the hair only once a week,” she says. “And keep heat styling tools on a low setting.”
Some of Beseau’s favorite looks include this fall-friendly mocha blend.

And this blushing bride. “This woman wanted silver hair for her wedding but hers was damaged from past color,” says Beseau. “So she gave me full creative control.”

Beseau has one male customer — “a vegan athlete aerialist” — whom she’s worked on a few times. “The cool thing about Vegas is all the different types of performers,” she says.

In order to create polka-dot hair, Beseau used a mannequin head. “I applied color to bubble wrap and used it to stamp the hair,” she says. She received backlash for the look, prompting her to write on Instagram, “It’s so sad and brings light to all the bullying, low self esteem, and suicide rate in our society. Where kids are afraid to be themselves. It’s OK to be different. We can’t survive tearing each other apart.”

Beseau calls her neon look “Radioactive blonde,” saying, “This hair actually glows in the dark under a black light. It’s perfect for a club night.”
