'Suits' Cast Reunites for Super Bowl Ad Sans Meghan Markle
Suits Cast Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres and Gabriel Macht; Meghan Markle
The stars of Suits have reunited yet again—and Meghan Markle is again, nowhere to be seen.
After the cast of the popular legal drama got back together for an appearance at the 2024 Golden Globes without Markle last month, some of the key actors are once again joining forces for a special Super Bowl commercial.
Suits actors Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman and Sarah Rafferty were among those who appeared in the new ad, a collaboration with e.l.f. Cosmetics that also stars none other than Judge Judy.
The commercial—titled "Judge Beauty" stars Torres, 54, and Hoffman, 53, as courtroom adversaries, while Rafferty, 51, plays the court reporter. The ad, which centers around the makeup brand's top-selling product of 2023, the Halo Glow Liquid Filer, is set to air during the big game on Sunday, Feb. 11.
The Suits actors will also be joined by a slew of other celebs in the courtroom, including comedian Benito Skinner (aka Benny Drama), Jury Duty's Ronald Gladden, former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho, Heidi N Closet from RuPaul's Drag Race and Grammy-winning singer Meghan Trainor.
Fans are already praising e.l.f. for the solid marketing strategy, especially considering the spike in Suits viewers over the last year. The former USA Network series even became the most streamed show last year after becoming available to stream on Netflix.
But just like the Suits reunion at the 2024 Golden Globes, Markle, 42, was noticeably absent from the new ad.
Markle played Rachel Zane on the hit series from 2011 until 2018 when she left the show following her engagement to Prince Harry. The series later aired its finale episode in September 2019.
While it's unclear exactly what sort of relationship Markle has maintained with some of her fellow Suits alums, Torres recently spoke out about why Markle wasn't included in the Golden Globes appearance, claiming the entire situation boiled down to not having her number anymore.
"We don’t have her number," Torres, the actress known for playing Jessica Pearson on the legal drama, told reporters last month, adding, "We just don’t, so she’ll see. She’ll watch."
