The 2024 Golden Globes had its share of ups and downs like most award shows, but one high point for fans of the TV series Suits was the reunion of the cast to present an award.
While Gina Torres, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty and Gabriel Macht gathered together on Jan. 7 for the Hollywood event, fellow cast member Meghan Markle was noticeably absent.

Torres was interviewed by Variety about the exciting reunion while walking the red carpet, leading to a blunt comment about why Markle wasn't there. “We don’t have her number,” the actress said, before adding, "We just don’t, so she’ll see. She’ll watch."
Fans were appreciative of Torres' quick work of shutting down questions about Markle, with one person replying on X, "She shut that down quick. Love her."
Another wrote, "Gina said, you're not getting anything from me. Nope, I don't have her number. Stop asking about my friend."
Some felt Torres' comment was a dig at the former actress, with one reply simply reading, "The shade ??."
Torres also talked enthusiastically about the excitement surrounding the reunion and the show's resurgence due to its streaming on Netflix, noting, "Our text thread is insane right now, so it’s very exciting." The show broke the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 record in October by holding the top spot for 12 weeks, as reported by Deadline.
For fans of the show, there is also some other great news, as it was announced in October that a new series is currently in development by series creator Aaron Korsh. Nothing is set in stone yet, but both fans and former cast members are excited for the future of the Suits franchise.
Adams, who played Mike Ross in Suits, even commented on the possibility of returning as his character in the new show, telling ET at the Golden Globes, "If I got the phone call, I’d be ready to suit up again. I loved the show, I loved the character and I loved working with all these people.”
Suits previously had the spinoff Pearson, which aired for one season in 2019 and starred Torres as Jessica Pearson.
