When 'Suits' Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht Last Spoke to Meghan Markle

Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht, two of Meghan Markle's former Suits co-stars, opened up about where their relationship with the Duchess of Sussex stands in an all-new interview.

On the heels of the Super Bowl commercial that saw Adams and Macht–who portrayed Michael Ross and Harvey Specter, respectively, on the series that ran between 2011 and 2019–reunite with several other former cast mates, the duo caught up with The Hollywood Reporter to chat about the aforementioned T-Mobile ad, the record-breaking streaming resurgence the original USA Network drama saw in 2023, the upcoming Suits spinoff, and of course, the last time they spoke to Markle (Rachel Zane).

“I have not communicated with her other than seeing her big support for the resurgence, and that has been really nice,” Macht, 52, explained.

“No, no communication,” Adams, 42, added before joking that he was getting a call, “Oh, hold on. There she is. Oh, got to go.”

Aside from not taking part in the commercial, Markle, 42, was also noticeably absent from the Suits mini-cast reunion at this year's Golden Globes. Joining Adams and Macht were two more co-stars, Sarah Rafferty (Donna Paulsen) and Gina Torres (Jessica Pearson).

Her missed appearance at the 2024 Golden Globes prompted some trolls to send shade her way, Markle's former TV dad Wendell Pierce defended the star amid her absence.

"The thing about it is, I know she has [Prince] Harry, right?" he told Page Six while attending the National Board of Review Annual Gala last month. "And of course the beautiful kids," Pierce added, referring to Markle and Prince Harry's two children: son Prince Archie, 4, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 2.

"That's the most important thing," Pierce said of Markle's family. "Everything else is just...outside of that means nothing."

The Wire actor even went on to reveal that he's kept in touch with his former on-screen daughter, admitting that he had the chance to catch up with the actress and her husband "a couple of months ago."
