Suki Waterhouse Is Turning to This Divisive Source for Parenting Advice
In a new interview with SiriusXM’s Ben +1 show, Suki Waterhouse opened up about the weeks leading up to her daughter’s birth in March 2024 and where she stands now. As she approached the pregnancy finish line, she wasn’t leaving her and fiancé Robert Pattinson’s home very much. Like many moms-to-be, Waterhouse had no desire to be out and about.
“There was something really, I found really wonderful about that limitation and just like preparing for something, preparing for this complete unknown,” she said. “I had no idea what to expect. I did not read any bloody books.”

And that’s not something she particularly regrets. She and Pattinson wanted to be surprised by parenthood and because in 2024, they don’t need “any bloody books.” There are plenty of places to find parenting advice.
“I mean, Google is a great thing, isn’t it?” the singer asked.
“Okay, but Reddit when you have kids, it’s like … That’s probably where I’m gonna learn everything on how to raise my child is Reddit,” she said.
Reddit! Home of many informative and engaging parenting subreddits … and also home to the trainwreck that is “Am I The A—hole?” It’s one of the most divisive social media platforms, with some singing the praises of its endless and niche forums, and others running in horror from what can most certainly become a dumpster fire.
As an avid reader of AITA, I’ve learned a lot of what not to do. I’ve learned that everyone has an opinion and will scream it at you, should you decide to post. Turning to Reddit — just like turning to the internet at large! — is almost like asking everyone in your proverbial village for parenting advice — it’s overwhelming and hard to know what to listen to.
Hopefully the “Good Looking” singer can find what she’s looking for on Reddit. If not, may we suggest she go straight to the source? Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian shares two young daughters with wife Serena Williams and he seems to be a top-tier dad.
Earlier this month, Waterhouse gushed about Pattinson as a dad. “He’s the greatest,” she told Access Hollywood. And the same could apparently be said for her little girl whose name has yet to be revealed.
“I’ve had the best day with her today, and showing her around New York City is heaven,” the Daisy Jones & The Six star said. “It’s the best. And it’s just getting more and more fun … I will go on and on about her.”
Go on and on. And scroll through all the subreddits. And find the best path forward for her sweet family of three.
