That summer season: Palm Beach hotels, resorts offer vacation deals
From reduced nighty rates and perks for Florida residents to a complimentary two-hour cruise on a yacht and free meals for kids, Palm Beach’s resorts and hotels are offering deals this summer.
“Palm Beach summers possess a distinctive charm,” Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach’s general manager Mazen Saleh told the Daily News.
Summer on the island is “peaceful” and “a best-kept secret,” Sarah Wetenhall, CEO and president of The Colony Hotel, told the Daily News. “Visitors and locals really have the time to enjoy everything Palm Beach has to offer and to experience island living.”
While summer hotel deals have been offered for decades, the past few summers have presented a surprise paradigm shift: After the spring 2020 onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic, summer reservations at Palm Beach hotels in 2021 and 2022, for instance, soared thanks to pent-up travel demand born of pandemic fatigue.
Doing so at a time of year when business historically slows compared to high-season winter is not only to appeal to far-flung travelers eying a Palm Beach getaway, but also to locals considering an amenity-filled staycation as crowds and traffic dissipate.
Summers have remained busier than usual for the last couple of years, according to The Breakers’ director of communications Sara Flight.
“As business levels have remained strong over the past few years and continue to progress, we no longer consider summer to be ‘off-season’ but more like season, and the winter period on par with a ‘super season.’”
Still, summer hotel deals are on the table.
Here are some of them, which typically depend on dates and availability; certain restrictions apply so inquire when making reservations and check hotel website soften for updates.
