Summerdale Fire and Rescue to host annual Independence Day event
SUMMERDALE, Ala. (WKRG) — Summerdale Fire and Rescue is preparing to host the town’s annual Independence Day event.

According to a news release, the 2024 Summerdale Annual Independence Day event is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, at Pioneer Park in Downtown Summerdale.

The full event schedule is below:
Event begins: 10 a.m.
Car show featuring cars, trucks, jeeps and tractors with an awards ceremony: 2 p.m.
Molly Ringwalds takes the stage: 7 p.m.
Fireworks show: 9 p.m.
In addition to the activities in the event schedule above, the Independence Day celebration will feature food, drinks, craft vendors and kids activities, the release said.
