Supergirl Casting Narrows Down to 2 Actresses
The hunt for Supergirl is nearing completion.
Warner Bros. is currently casting the role of powerful DC hero, and cousin to Superman, with screen tests reportedly ongoing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there are two frontrunners.
The first is Milly Alcock, best known as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryenher from HBO’s Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon.
The second is the less-well-known Meg Donnelly. She starred in Disney Channel’s musical series Zombies, and has also voiced Supergirl in various animated movies.
We last saw Supergirl in 2023 Summer blockbuster The Flash, as played by Sasha Calle, but DC co-head James Gunn is taking the character in a new direction.
The next Supergirl is set to for an introduction in 2025’s Superman: Legacy before going on to star in her own standalone movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which is predicted to release in 2027.
