The 'Surprise Winner' Seasonal Aldi Drink Customers Say Is a '10/10'
Sparkling water is officially in its Renaissance era.The fancy water is experiencing a surge in popularity as consumers reach for better-for-you alternatives. As polarizing as it may seem, more and more people are kicking sugar-laden soda to the curb and are opting for its fizzy, no-calorie counterpart.
To meet demand, companies from Coke to Pepsi have expanded their offerings to include their own versions of the carbonated drink, and lucky for us, there’s a sea of flavors to choose from. As if effervescent, CBD-infused sparkling water wasn’t interesting enough, brands are experimenting with flavors from the familiar lime to the more daring cotton candy.

The most recent player to get into the sparkling water game is none other than fan-favorite grocer, Aldi. In addition to its recently launched collection of fall items, the German-based supermarket chain also released an array of autumn-inspired beverages perfect for cooler weather. Nostalgic caramel apple, comforting pumpkin pie, and unexpected ginger fruit punch are the flavors you’ll find in the retailer’s lineup of bubbly beverages — and there's a clear standout among the three.
In an in-depth and honest review posted on Reddit, one user shared, “Caramel apple is very tasty, no complaints on that one. It tastes like caramel apple.” While the winner by a landslide was the caramel apple flavor, the other two flavors didn’t fare as well. “My least favorite was the ginger fruit punch. I couldn't even finish the lone can that I opened.” wrote the original poster.

The user even likened the taste to “drinking medicine.” In reference to the pumpkin pie flavor, the Redditor mused, “Pumpkin pie had good flavor and it was nice to drink a beverage that was "different," although I think it would have worked better as a sweetened seltzer.”
The comments section echoed the writer's sentiments, with another agreeing, “The caramel apple is pretty fantastic — tastes sweet even with no sweetener.” A few fans even wondered about the possibility of using the seasonal seltzer in a cocktail recipe.
