The Lulu tribe competes in the Episode 5 Immunity Challenge in 'Survivor 45'

The newly swapped tribes have gotten settled in on Survivor, but nothing is truly constant. Some are debating disposing of allies to keep around more chaotic enemies. A journey created a new alliance, bonded together by advantage-powered amulets. And one player went from the bottom of the game to the swing vote, as they debated between numbers and loyalty.

Who got voted off on Survivor 45 tonight?

In the first half of the premerge, Brando was a key figure in the middle, caught between the gender wars on Belo. But the swap put the software developer in a brand new line of code, left with his weakest connection in Kendra and three new tribemates. Brando attempted to connect with Drew over their mutual interests, even pitching to get rid of Kendra. But when the fellow nerd denied him, he had to seek another ally to capture. Going into the vote, Emily was clearly in the middle between former Belo and Reba members. In the end, she sided with the tight twosome of guys, and Brando was voted out.

Were any advantages found or played on Survivor 45 tonight?

Yes! Austin, J. Maya, and Kellie all went on a "journey" after the Immunity Challenge where they were given a choice. They could choose Sustenance in the form of sandwiches, or Strategy in the form of the "amulets" advantage from Survivor 42. They chose the latter. The amulets must be played together, and their power is dependent on how many are left in the game. Three amulets amount to an extra vote, two amulets amount to a vote steal, and one amulet has the power of an idol.

Additionally, at Tribal Council, Austin chose to sacrifice his vote to power up his idol to last through all the tribes living on one beach. He then used the Goodwill Advantage that Kaleb had given Drew during the tribe raid to give his own vote back, meaning he didn't need to lose his vote after all.
