Swoyersville festival kicks off with games, food, and fun

SWOYERSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Festival season is in full swing and a local Luzerne County church kicked off its biggest fundraiser.

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Festival in Swoyersville kicked off on Thursday.

Visitors can enjoy games, live entertainment, and plenty of delicious homemade food.

The festival will run from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and all the money raised benefits the church for things like bills, new garments, and church upkeep.

Luzerne County Fair awarded funding to rebuild

“We start it every year being a family event and that’s the biggest thing to make sure families come out, all ages to come out to have a good time. Doesn’t matter if you’re two years old or you’re 90 years old we have the food we have the games, we have everything going on,” Kathy Brezney from Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish said.

The Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Festival will run until Saturday.
