Sydney Sweeney Makes Fun of Madame Web on SNL
Madame Web hasn't seemed to land with anyone.
Not critics, not audiences, and not even the film's cast, as Sydney Sweeney became the latest star to disown the movie live from the SNL stage.
The actor and producer hosted Saturday Night Live and made a little dig at the Sony-produced Marvel flick during her opening monologue.
"I am so happy to be here," Sweeney opened before getting the jibe in quick, following up with "You might have seen me in Anyone But You or Euphoria. You definitely did not see me in Madame Web".
The cheeky remark was met with laughter from the audience.
This isn't the first time Madame Web's taken a hit on Saturday Night Live, as Dakota Johnson recently took to the stage and likened it to "if AI generated your boyfriend's perfect movie."
Sydney Sweeney was hosting the show in part to promote her upcoming movie Immaculate, which follows a woman of devout faith, Cecilia, who is warmly welcomed to the picture-perfect Italian countryside where she is offered a new role at an illustrious convent. However, it quickly becomes clear to Cecilia that her new home harbors dark and horrifying secrets.
Immaculate will premier at the South by Southwest Film Festival before hitting theaters on March 22.
