Taco Bell is spicing things up this spring with a handful of new items!
The Mexican-inspired fast food chain announced the debut of its elevated Cantina Chicken Menu, featuring five different options that are brand new to the eatery.
Customers can expect "premium, slow roasted chicken and new fresh ingredients" cooked with a savory seasoning of Mexican spices including garlic, onions and a variety of chilies, as the restaurant aims to prove that "Taco Bell isn't just for late night," according to a press release shared with Parade.
The new offerings include Cantina Chicken Soft Taco, Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco, Cantina Chicken Burrito, Cantina Chicken Quesadilla, and the Cantina Chicken Bowl.
Premium ingredients highlighted include shredded purple cabbage, white corn tortilla shell freshly fried daily, and pico de gallo freshly-prepared daily, as well as the all-new Avocado Verde Salsa—which features tomatillos, green chili peppers and real avocado pulp and was developed to complement Cantina Chicken menu items.
“This Cantina Chicken menu has been a labor of love and we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure we landed on the best slow roasted chicken recipe and selected the finest supporting ingredients to maximize craveability,” said Liz Matthews, Global Chief Food Innovation Officer. “As we constantly listen to our audiences, we know that a winning equation is giving them what we know they want plus something next-level. We knew our fans wanted more chicken, and we also knew that we could elevate chicken with unexpected ingredients like purple cabbage and Avocado Verde Salsa.”
The menu choices will range in price from $2.99 to $7.99 depending on location, and the full menu will be available to all fans starting March 21. However, for Taco Bell Rewards Members, select items are available now, with more dropping on March 18, ahead of the national launch.
