Taco Bell's menu changes regularly, and sometimes those updates aren't well-received by fans. This is not one of those times.
In fact, fans seem pretty ecstatic over the fast food company's decision to bring back a beloved menu item, even if it's only for a limited time.
The chain's Nacho Fries quietly disappeared from menus a few months ago, but now they're back–and they've been given a saucy update.
According to a press release, Nacho Fries return as a collaboration with condiment brand Secret Aardvark, the new recipe of Nacho Fries adds the Portland-based hot sauce brand's iconic Serrabanero sauce for a combination "sure to spice up tastebuds."
The upgraded option is reportedly available in two sizes–small or large–as a fries-only dish, fries and sauce, or stacked Secret Aardvark special for those who want their nachos fully loaded. It will also be available as part of a combo meal beginning Thursday, April 25.
The new dish features a creamy ranch sauce, Aardvark's Serrabano hot sauce, nacho-seasoned fries, three types of ooey-gooey shredded cheese, nacho cheese sauce, pico de gallo and its shredded Cantina Chicken, per a statement shared by foodie influencer Markie_Devo, who regularly previews and tests new fast food menu items.
Those looking to make it a combo can do so by adding the new Cantina Chicken soft taco, Beef Chalupa, 5-layer burrito and medium drink, per Markie_Devo.
The announcement was met with excitement from consumers, who appear to be quite fond of the updated recipe.
"Yummy that is delicious," one Instagram user wrote.
"such a shame they won't be back in time for 4/20??," another quipped.
Nacho Fries is the latest menu item to get an update this year, as the restaurant chain also revived another nostalgic treat with a twist just a few weeks ago.
