Taco Bell is unveiling a slew of new menu items, in addition to one special sweet treat for ice cream lovers.
On Instagram, it was revealed that "daringly delicious ice cream" brand Salt & Straw was collaborating with the fast food chain to bring back a version of chocolate tacos.
"Taco Tuesday like you’ve never had it before ?? Yesterday our head ice cream maker was at Live Más Live to announce the return of our iconic Ice Cream Chocolate Tacos in collaboration with @tacobell," the caption of the Feb. 11 post read, adding that the treats are "coming this summer to all scoop shops and online for nationwide shipping."
As for what the dessert item is comprised of, the brand promises "hand pressed waffle cones, fresh-made cinnamon ancho ice cream dipped in single origin chocolate and studded with toasted brown rice. Served with three custom sauce packets and a tangy cheesecake dip."
Sweets aside, Taco Bell also announced a roundup of exciting products over Super Bowl weekend, introducing its new Cantina Chicken Menu—which will feature a new savory-seasoned and oven-roasted protein—along with several partnerships with brands like Cheez-It, Tajín, and Mountain Dew.
The new menu will reportedly add a handful of different ingredients for the Mexican food chain, too, including purple cabbage, pico de gallo, white corn taco shells and a new Avocado Verde Salsa sauce packet.
Additionally, a selection of freshly-debuted items will be available at its eateries nationwide: the Cantina Chicken Burrito, a soft or crispy Cantina Chicken Taco, Cantina Chicken Quesadilla and the Cantina Chicken Bowl.
There are also a different set of items coming to participating Taco Bell locations for a limited time, while supplies last, as the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada, Crispy Chicken Nuggets, Cheesy Street Chalupas, Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato, Cheesy Enchilada Dipping Taco, and Dulce de Leche Cinnabon Delights will all make appearances on menus.
These recent developments come after the company unveiled a Value Menu with six full-sized offerings available for $3 or less, as well as a brand new Cinnamon Twists breakfast cereal last month.
