Taco Bell Teams Up With Mountain Dew to Serve Up New Dessert
Taco Bell is debuting an unexpected treat for those with a sweet tooth.
Food influencer Markie Devo shared on Instagram that Mountain Dew and the beloved Mexican fast food chain teamed up to make a Baja Blast Gelato. The frozen treat will be tested for two weeks, starting on Aug. 31. Sadly, it will only be available at the Irvine, California location, which can be found at 4101 Campus Drive.
The account shared a photo of the product, which comes in the same bright mint green coloring as the Baja Blast, in a white cup with a logo that reads, "Mtn Dew Baja Blast Gelato." He captioned the post, "Road trip anyone?? Well not if you’re in Cali?????♂?. Mtn Dew and Taco Bell have teamed up for a Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato. The iconic BAJA BLAST Tropical Lime flavor is celebrated throughout the creamy, delectable treat."
Chewboom also shared that the gelato will be sold for $2.99 in a 3.6-oz to-go container.
In the comments, fans expressed how much they wished it would be available in all locations.
"They need ship to all TB. I bet that location will be a madhouse," read a comment. Another person questioned, "now why the hell they decide only a single taco bell should sell it vs multiple locations?? like i get theyre likely iffy if people will like it but thats when you have folks taste test it before even releasing the product. even then itd still sell cuz its fricken baja blast cmon smh." Another fan was just as annoyed, writing, "this some bs."
The good news is that if the dessert proves to be successful during the brief testing period, it'll make its way to more locations.
