Taco Bell Testing 2 New Cheesy and Crispy Menu Items
Taco Bell
Taco Bell fans are sharing their thoughts on two potential new menu items the fast food chain is testing in the U.S.
Food influencer Markie Devo, who updates fans on any exciting fast food news, shared some photos on their Instagram profile featuring the new test items at Taco Bell, which are Cheesy Street Chalupas and Crispy Chicken Nuggets.
They added that the first item is being tested at 13 locations in Indianapolis, Indiana, while the nuggets are being tested at 15 locations in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Along with the Taco Bell items being tested for a potential national release, they also officially added a Toasted Breakfast Taco, Steak & Bacon Grilled Cheese Burrito and Vegan Nacho Cheese. Markie Devo previously announced these three items ahead of time, citing a Taco Bell employee as the source.
Some fans shared their high hopes for the new items in the comments, with one person writing, "Hopefully the chicken nuggets are like their baked chicken chips! LOVED THOSE!! Looks like it comes with maybe a spicy sauce? I’d probably opt for the nacho cheese haha."
Another said, "Taco Bell chicken nuggies actually sound amazing."
Others had suggestions for things Taco Bell could explore next, with one declaring, "Make some spicy chicken nuggets."
Hopefully, the new items will find success with the brand's fans, but, as is often the case, many noted past favorite items that they still want Taco Bell to bring back. This included the Caramel Apple Empanada, the Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, which only recently left the menu, and the Naked Chicken Chalupa.
A different exciting menu item that Taco Bell tested out in September was a Baja Blast Gelato as a team-up with Mountain Dew.
