Taco Bell worker injured after confronting customer angry that they ran out of meat for tacos
A Taco Bell worker in Arkansas allegedly suffered a minor injury to his leg after engaging in a confrontation with a customer who was irate that the fast-food restaurant had run out of meat for tacos near closing time.
Just before 4 a.m. Saturday — the designated closing time for the Taco Bell located on N. Reynolds Road in Bryant, Ark. — a customer started to yell at a drive-thru worker when he was informed there was no more meat to make tacos.
According to the police report, obtained by KARK, another Taco Bell employee went outside to see what the commotion was about and informed the police that the driver of a white Pontiac G6 then backed up in the drive-thru in an attempt to hit him.
The worker attempted to pull the driver out of the car, but was unsuccessful. The driver then, allegedly, drove forward and attempted to hit the worker again. The employee claims his leg was injured but denied medical attention.
According to witnesses, the Pontiac G6 was missing a front bumper and the driver was described as a white male in his mid 30's, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
The incident is currently under investigation as a disturbance; however, that may change after police are provided with surveillance camera video from the restaurant.
The second assistant manager of the Taco Bell franchise in Bryant denied to comment regarding the incident. Taco Bell did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment.
