Target Just Launched a New (and Affordable) Sensory-Friendly Collection for Kids
First Target offered quiet shopping hours for children with autism. Then it launched an adaptive clothing line for kids with disabilities. Now your favorite superstore is upping the ante once again by introducing a sensory-friendly home collection designed for little ones - just in time for Autism Awareness Month.
As part of the chain's own Pillowfort brand, the brand-new line includes almost 20 pieces all under $100, with some starting at only $20. The store created the products specifically in response to guest feedback. Parents wanted stylish, sensory-friendly items that still came in under budget - and Target totally delivered.
"We want all guests to feel welcome and included at Target," says Julie Guggemos, senior vice president, owned brand management and product design. "With our Cat & Jack and Universal Thread adaptive and sensory-friendly apparel, we’ve seen that little details can have a huge impact. I’m so proud to bring that spirit of inclusivity and incredible design to Pillowfort’s new sensory-friendly assortment, which hopefully can bring more ease and joy to our guests’ everyday lives."
