Target’s New Time-Saving Service Lets You Order Goods for Carside Pickup

We love Target runs just as much as the next gal, but there are days when leisurely combing the aisles for shade-inclusive makeup or one of Brit + Co‘s DIY kits (*wink, wink*) are simply impossible to fit on the day’s agenda. Or at least — it used to be! The same company that brought you coupon app Cartwheel and same-day grocery delivery is now offering a brand new service that will make your Bullseye pitstops quicker than ever.

Dubbed Drive Up, the time-saving service lets you place any order via the Target app for delivery to your car within two minutes (!!) of your arrival in the store’s parking lot. Simply complete your order, select ‘Drive Up’ as the fulfillment option, and wait for the retail giant to ping you when it’s ready to go — usually within one to two hours.

Once you’ve received your notification, you can tap ‘I’m on the way’ to let the store know you’ll be arriving soon, then pull up in a designated Drive Up spot (nice!) for carside delivery.

First launched as a test project in Minneapolis last fall, the service is now available in 270 stores in Florida, Texas, and across the Southeast, including Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.

If you’re not in one of the included states, dont’ fret: Target plans to launch the service in 1,000 locations nationwide by the end of this year.
