Taylor Sheridan's Empire Keeps Growing! Here's the Complete List of Every One of His Paramount Series

There seems to be no stopping Taylor Sheridan!

People can't seem to get enough of Taylor Sheridan these days. The creator of Yellowstone has more irons in the fire than Dolly Parton! Plus, he recently extended his current deal with Paramount by an additional five years which means he'll be creating content for studio, and specifically content for Paramount+, the old-school studio's streaming site, until 2028!

Prior to creating Yellowstone, Sheridan was (and still is) an actor. He's best known for roles on Veronica Mars and Sons of Anarchy, and you can see him cameo as horse trader Travis Wheatley on Yellowstone. When he's not acting, he's writing. He's written every episode of Yellowstone, plus, several screenplays, including Sicario and the Oscar-nominated Hell or High Water.

In addition to Yellowstone, his current series include Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King and 1883: The Bass Reeves Story all of which are streaming on Paramount+. Due to an "unfortunate" deal made before the launch of Paramount+, Yellowstone is available to stream on Peacock.

Here's what we know about Taylor Sheridan's shows, including those in production and in development.

Taylor Sheridan Shows

Yellowstone

Yellowstone is Taylor Sheridan's most popular series to date. The show follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner), as they clash with land developers, a neighboring Indian reservation and numerous foes on their quest to protect their legacy and their land.

Mayor of Kingstown

Mayor of Kingstown revolves around Kingstown, Michigan and the only industry that is thriving in the area —the prison system and incarceration. Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) takes over as "mayor" of Kingstown after the death of his older brother. He'll use any means necessary to get the results he's looking for. The series has already been picked up for a second season.

1883

This prequel series to Yellowstone chronicles the Dutton family back in the late 19th century as they make their way across the treacherous American West in hopes of a better life. The show was the streamer's most-watched series premiere, up more than double of the previous record.

Paramount+ announced in February that "more episodes" of 1883 were coming. That vague phrasing left us wondering if we would get a season 2 of 1883 or a back-end pickup of the first season. Executive producer David Glasser solved the mystery the day after the season 1 finale when he told The Hollywood Reporter that the new Yellowstone prequel series 1923 "was always intended to be the second season" of 1883.

Tulsa King

Previously known as Kansas City, Tulsa King will star Sylvester Stallone in his first major TV role. Stallone plays Dwight "The General" Manfredi, a low-level but loyal mobster who is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma when he is released after serving 25 years in prison. This fish-out-of-water drama finds Stallone's character trying to navigate the drug trade in a town with legalized marijuana and hipsters. Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza and Jay Will will round out the cast.

1923

1923 is yet another Yellowstone spinoff series which will take place in, you guessed it, 1923. The series, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, will follow the Duttons during the Prohibition era and the Great Depression and will feature present-day John Dutton's parents and grandparents. This series is airing now on Paramount+.

LaMonica Garrett from 1883 will play CIA operative Tucker while frequent Sheridan-verse actor James Jordan will take on the role of CIA operative Two Cups. Jordan has had roles on 1883, Yellowstone, and Mayor of Kingstown and has also appeared in several of Sheridan's feature films.

Frequent-Hallmark Channel actress Jill Wagner also serves as executive producer and plans to star in the show. The show's Paramount+ release date hasn't been revealed yet.

Land Man

Land Man is based off the podcast, "Boomtown" about the oil boom in West Texas. Billy Bob Thornton has been cast to lead the series as a crisis manager for an oil company. Thornton has had a guest starring role on 1883, Sheridan's prequel to Yellowstone. Land Man's Paramount+ release date hasn't been revealed yet.

6666

Set at the famed Four Sixes Texas ranch in Texas, 6666 is another Yellowstone prequel spinoff. “Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666," a release from Paramount said of the new series. "Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing.” The most recent word from Paramount was that the series is still in development. No filming or premiere date has been set for the Paramount+ series.
