Taylor Swift's latest album, Reputation, is now available to stream

Three weeks after Taylor Swift released Reputation, the record has been made available on streaming services.

Swift released her long-awaited sixth album on November 10, but the musician didn't put it out on services such as Spotify, instead making listeners buy her record in order to listen to it.

It's a strategy that has worked well for the star in the past. In 2014, she removed her whole back catalogue from Spotify and other services ahead of the release of her fifth album, 1989. The record wasn't ready to stream until this summer, and Swift had the highest first-week sales figures since 1992.

Reputation has followed in 1989's footsteps: with 1.45 million copies sold between November 10 and November 23, it is already the best-selling album of the year and gave Swift her best sales week ever after shifting 1.29 million copies in its first week.

So why has she released Reputation on Spotify so swiftly? Reports suggest that while sales figures are impressive, they are below the 2 million copies the label was apparently expecting to sell in the first week of its release.

But the record's release on streaming services has been met positively by those fans who are yet to buy the album. Swift broke the good news on her Instagram account on Thursday night:
