Taylor Swift’s birthday outfit has officially created a viral moment for Aquazzura.

During her 34th birthday earlier this month, Swift stepped out in a pair of the Italian luxury brand’s Atelier Plateau sandals while celebrating with friends including Blake Lively, Miles Teller and Sabrina Carpenter in New York City. Since then, searches for the label have risen by 186% internationally — a near triple amount, on average — according to new data from skincare brand Misumi.
Designed by Edgardo Osario, the Atelier Plateau heels in question featured a peep-toe silhouette with black velvet uppers and crystal-lined straps. The $750 (was $1,250) pair earns its towering name from its sky-high heels — a squared silhouette totaling 5.11 inches in height.

Swift’s Aquazzura birthday heels marked her latest outing in the brand, following numerous appearances in Osario’s creations over the years — including its Twist mules, Sundance platforms and Love Link pumps. The star’s glitzy moment also arrives amid a soaring rise in platforms’ popularity; according to retail analysis platform Trendalytics, platforms have grown by 41.2% in the footwear market with over 45,500 products currently available in 2023.
Aside from her platform heels, Swift’s birthday outfit’s other elements also rose in popularity. The star paired her heels with Aquazzura’s crystal top-handled tote and a sparkly Clio Peppiatt minidress — also increasing “little black dress” searches by 614% and “silver bag” searches by 400%, according to Misumi’s data.
Swift is the latest style star to make waves in online searches with her footwear. On Sunday, Kate Middleton also increased searches for Gianvito Rossi by 301% worldwide following her televised appearance in the brand’s blue Gianvito 105 pumps at the Royal Variety Performance.
