Taylor Swift Keeps 5-Year Promise With Priceless Gift to Fan
Taylor called her up again NOT to break her like a promise.
Taylor Swift might sing about broken promises, but in reality she keeps them like an oath.
The 33-year-old music superstar showed one of her fans that she is a woman of her word after honoring a promise made five years ago to Arizona teen Isabella McCune.
Back in 2018, McCune, then only 8 years old, was involved in a severe accident that left her in the hospital with burns over 65% of her body. The injuries prevented her from attending Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour, though she was promised a chance to see her at a show once she recovered.
The "Lavender Haze" songstress actually visited McCune in the hospital at the time, leaving her with a sweet note that read, "Isabelle, I hope you feel better soon. I'm so honored you've been listening to my music," according to ABC 15. "You're so awesome and I can't wait to have you at a show. Stay strong, gorgeous. Love, Taylor."
Fast forward to five years later, Swift kicked off The Eras Tour over the weekend, marking her first time back on the road since 2018. Not forgetting about her promise, the Grammy winner surprised McCune and her family with four tickets to the show in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday, March 18.
"Not only the fact that I'm able to go and I got these tickets gifted to me, they're from Taylor Swift and her team and they remembered me and thought of me to give me these tickets," McCune said, noting that Swift's "music helped me a lot while I was in the hospital."

McCune was able to witness a history-making show on Saturday, as the entertainer took the stage for over 3 hours during the performance, which chronicles all of the "eras" of the 10 albums she has released throughout her career. Getting the tickets as a gift also allowed her to bypass the Ticketmaster fiasco after Swift's ticket sales nearly broke the site after going on sale in November 2022.
Following the first two Eras tour performances in Glendale—temporarily renamed "Swift City"—the "Anti-Hero" vocalist is headed to Las Vegas next, where she will play two nights at the Allegiant Stadium.
