Is Taylor Swift Performing at the Grammys?
Taylor Swift performs onstage for the opening nigh the Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Ariz.
Taylor Swift has a lot going on at the moment—including the upcoming Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 4. But will the pop superstar be performing at the awards show?
In recent months, Swifties have watched the "Cruel Summer" songstress more during NFL games than at sold-out concerts. That's because her wildly popular Eras Tour has been on hiatus since early December. However, Swift will resume concert dates on Feb. 7 in Tokyo, Japan—begging the question: Can fans expect to hear her belt out a hit at the Grammys?
The bad news: Swift is not one of the performers at the 2024 Grammy Awards. This year's lineup includes SZA, Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Burna Boy, Dua Lipa, Joni Mitchell, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott and U2.
Although Swift will be resting her voice to prepare for Eras tour concerts, the good news is Swift will attend the Feb. 4 awards show, Entertainment Tonight reported. So, Swifties can still look forward to a glamorous red carpet look and, possibly, an acceptance speech—or multiple!
Ahead of the Grammys, Swift has snagged an impressive six nominations.
Record of the Year for "Anti-Hero"
Song of the Year (alongside Jack Antonoff) for "Anti-Hero"
Album of the Year for Midnights
Best Pop Solo Performance for "Anti-Hero"
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Karma" featuring Ice Spice
Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights.
Of course, there's always a chance that Swift will announce new music at an awards show—like when she announced Midnights during an acceptance speech at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
Some Swifties on social media are convinced she will unveil the release date for Reputation (Taylor's Version) during the Grammy Awards. (Then again, they've been wrong several times before.) Whatever happens, hopefully her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, will be there to support her!
The 2024 Grammy Awards kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 4 on CBS.
