Taylor Swift Is Reportedly Skipping the Grammys This Year

Taylor Swift won't attend the Grammys this year, according to a source who spoke to Variety.

There was some speculation that she was skipping the ceremony to attend the BAFTAs with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn instead, because the BAFTAs and the Grammys are on the same night, but a source spoke to Us Weekly and said it's actually because of the filming schedule for "Cats."

Relative to past years, Taylor basically got shut out of of all the categories she usually dominates. Reputation only earned one nomination and it was for Best Pop Vocal Album, which isn't that major of a category. Many considered it a snub for the 10-time Grammy winner. In fact, when the news first came out, her fans basically revolted.

Not only is she skipping the ceremony, but it's also kind of questionable whether she'll win the award she's nominated for. She's up against some solid contenders. Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Kelly Clarkson, and P!nk are also nominated in her category.

If it makes you feel any better. Beyonce and Jay-Z's collab album Everything Is Love was basically shut out of the major categories, too, and Ariana Grande's Sweetener only earned two nominations, so the Grammys were not kind to your faves this year.
