Taylor Swift Shares Heartfelt Tribute to Beyonce After 'Eras Tour' Premiere

Taylor Swift had some heart-meltingly sweet words for Beyoncé after the "Cuffing It" singer attended the premiere of the filmed version of her Eras Tour.
The highly-anticipated concert film screened for the first time on Oct. 11 at The Grove in Los Angeles, where Mariska Hargitay, Adam Sandler, Julia Garner, and the Queen Bey herself all made appearances alongside countless hand-selected fans.
When all was said and done, Swift took to Instagram with a thoughtful tribute to her fellow superstar, posted alongside a video clip of the two posing in an empty theater together with a shared bucket of popcorn.
"I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence," she began. "The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility."
Swift dubbed the other songstress "a guiding light throughout [her] career," calling "the fact that she showed up" at the screening "an actual fairytale."
While some have assumed that the appearance was made purely for PR, as some fans have pitted the two against each other over the years—especially when it comes to the Eras and Renaissance tours—the two have always been supportive of one another, especially following the infamous incident during the 2009 VMAs, where Swift beat Beyoncé out for Best Female Video and Kanye West stormed the stage to declare Beyoncé's "the best."
When Beyoncé took home Video of the Year later that night, she invited Swift back out to finish her acceptance speech and was photographed at Swift's birthday party several years later.
"Let's be clear, Beyonce doesn't go to anybody's anything," one Twitter user asserted in the pair's defense. "They probably have a stronger relationship than we will ever really know."
