Taylor Swift is mourning one of her Swifties.
During the early hours on Saturday, Nov. 18, the "Cruel Summer" singer took to Instagram to share a poignant tribute after news circulated online that a fan of hers died ahead of the Eras Tour stop on Friday, Nov. 17 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
On her Instagram Stories, the Grammy winner penned, "I can't believe I'm writing these words, but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this."
As she continued, the chart topper noted that she had "very little information" on the death of the fan, who she did not name. Nonetheless, Swift did confirm that the Swiftie was female, commenting, "she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young."
"I'm not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even tried to talk about it," she continued. "I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends."
Swift signed off her note with a somber reflection, adding, "This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
According to a report by Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, the fan who passed away was named Ana Clara Benevides. It's said she was only 23 years old.
Per the report, Benevides was transported to the Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital after falling ill at the venue. The cause of death is being said to be cardiorespiratory arrest.
This update came after a difficult tour stop for Swift, who reportedly performed for her devoted fans in near 100 degree heat. In fact, in one snippet captured from the performance, Swift was heard asking event staff to supply her fans with water.

"It's just very hot," she said from the stage. "So, when somebody says they need water when it's this hot, they really need it."
Fans were heard chanting "water" from the crowd.
A different Folha de S.Paulo article reported an unofficial count of more than 1,000 fainting episodes at the concert, in addition to vomiting, because of the heat.
