Taylor Swift Starts Song Over After Fumbling the Piano: ‘You Thought You Came Here to See a Professional’
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is an international pop star performing shows over three hours long, so there are bound to be mistakes—and Swifties are taking delight in her latest on-stage flub.
On Thursday, Nov. 9, Swift resumed her Eras Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina, following a two-month hiatus. She was singing "Champagne Problems" while playing the piano when she forgot the words and immediately started laughing.
"I've had two months off," she explained to the audience. "I've practiced this so many times before tonight."
Swift opted to start over her song from the beginning—but before doing so, she joked, "And you thought you came here to see a professional."
The endearing moment was captured by a member of the audience, who then shared the clip on TikTok—prompting folks on the social media platform to fall in love with her even more.

One TikTok user declared, "Errors Tour! ??."
Another one commented, "she's so unserious ??."
Meanwhile, someone else pointed out, "Missed the opportunity to say 'I think there's been a glitch.'"
Yet another person commented, "Ending all of my work emails and meetings with, 'you thought you came to see a professional.'"
Another TikTok user wrote, "She's the cutest human."
As the "errors tour" comment suggests, this isn't the first time Swift, her stage crew or dancers have messed up during the Eras Tour. There was that one time when the stage door didn't open when it was supposed to—so Swift sprinted down the catwalk to get to her spot on time. (Comically, the door did finally open seconds after she started running.)
She later joked on social media, "still swift af boi."

Similarly, the stage door was late opening for her iconic dive into the "water," prompting her to utter a four-letter word.

Another comical mistake happened when her piano malfunctioned and began playing random notes.

There was also that time when she swallowed a bug on stage.

And Swifties loved it when she screamed into her mic after it rudely turned off on her.

Basically, concert-goers should know to expect the unexpected during any live performance. And for Swifties, the errors are just as delightful as her flawless performances.
