Taylor Swift Steps Out in NYC Storm in Gorgeous Green Sweater Dress With Thigh-High Slit
It may have been a miserably windy, rainy day in the metro New York City area on Tuesday, Jan. 9, but we know if anyone is willing to brave some nasty weather, it's Taylor Swift.
The superstar, who is currently on a brief sabbatical from her record-breaking Eras Tour, was spotted out and about that evening during a winter storm that brought on power outages, flooding, and we can only imagine how many broken umbrellas thanks to the high wind speeds.
But as she set foot on the sidewalk from her black SUV, not even a hair, which was left to lay across her shoulders in loose waves, was out of place. She wore a heavy brown coat over a sweater dress made in a beautiful shade of emerald, which featured a slit going up her left leg.
She paired it with black, nearly knee-high boots and an orangy leather handbag, finishing things off with a series of gold necklaces and a peachy shade of lipstick.
The "Forever and Always" songstress was back in the recording studio, stopping by Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village—a regular haunt of hers when she's staying in her Manhattan home.
Many Swifties feel like she's been dropping hints that reputation (Taylor's Version) is coming soon, between her love of sending hidden messages through easter eggs and apparent nods to the edgy era in her red carpet attire, although her sudden penchant for green in her last few looks could also mean something for the rerecording of her self-titled, debut album.
For now, it's anyone's guess as to what, if anything, it all means, but we sure do love the way she keeps us on our toes—and, of course, her closet of our dreams!
