Taylor Swift Visits an 8-Year-Old Burn Victim in the Hospital Who Couldn’t Make It to Her Concert

Taylor Swift has a heart of gold. Five months after reports surfaced that the “…Are You Ready for It?” singer helped a homeless single mom buy a home, she’s making headlines for another kind act after visiting a young burn victim in the hospital who couldn’t attend her show.

8-year-old superfan Isabella McCune is currently undergoing treatment at the Arizona Burn Center for third-degree burns from a freak accident on St. Patrick’s Day when a fire pit exploded in a ball of flames in her driveway. She hoped to be able to be well enough to see her idol’s concert in Glendale this coming Tuesday, but her doctors refused.

So, she recorded a video from her hospital bed, asking the pop superstar to pay her a visit. “I heard you were here and I wanted to visit you, but maybe you can come and visit me,” the little girl said in the impromptu video, which was shot by an Arizona Republic photographer and uploaded online.

She couldn’t have imagined that her dream would come true. But it did.

Dressed in a yellow hospital gown, the 28-year-old pop star arrived at the hospital with her parents and stayed for 20 minutes. During her visit, she posed for photos with Isabella and her brother, 14-year-old Zachary; doled out hugs; and gifted her young supporter with merch from the tour.

She even signed McCune’s journal, writing, “Isabella! I hope you feel better soon and I’m honored you’ve been listening to my music. You’re so awesome and I can’t wait to have you at a show!! Stay strong, gorgeous. Love, Taylor Swift.”

Get well soon, Isabella!
