This Terrifying Haircutting Technique Is Going Viral for Giving Beauty Results

Thanks to the internet, we have a chance to see all the different techniques stylists use to get rid of split ends, clean scalps or add layers.

The most recent of such is Sarai Speer, a Kansas City hairstylist at Rehab Salon and Spa. A video showing her unconventional haircutting technique that she calls the “Whoville Christmas Tree” has gone viral.

She starts her process by twisting a small section of hair and holding it straight up. Then she goes in with shears and starts slicing in a downward motion. "You go down the hair and keep the tension and that's what creates those pieces," she told Today. "You keep the sheers half open. Do not close them." In the videos, it almost looks like she’s just rubbing the ends of the hair.
