Why you should avoid perineum sunning
The wellness trend of “perineum sunning” is all about letting in a little light where the sun doesn’t shine. The main risk is increasing the odds of skin cancer, but it’s apparently also extremely painful. Actor Josh Brolin shared his painful experience on Instagram.
JVN makes history on Cosmo U.K. cover
Jonathan Van Ness broke boundaries this week when the Queer Eyestar graced the cover of Cosmopolitan U.K. JVN, who proudly identifies as gender nonbinary, shared a photo of the cover on Instagram, saying: “My body is ready.” Ness is the first non-female cover star in 35 years; the magazine is known to have a demographic audience of young women. The cover was released just a day after Sunday’s World AIDS Day, which the star has become an advocate for since he opened up this year that he has been living with HIV. Stars and fans have been applauding him over social media since the release of the groundbreaking cover. In its coverlines for the issue, Cosmopolitan U.K. included: “Yep. We did it. You’re totally welcome.” JVN was decked out in an orange Christian Siriano ball gown, with a pair of Nike sneakers.
Gayle King, 64, shows off her curves in swimsuit photos
Gayle King is the latest celeb over 50 to proudly show off her body in a swimsuit. The “CBS This Morning” host posted photos to her Instagram account while on a Mexico vacation with her niece. The first photo in the post is of her niece in a red bikini posing with goggles; when you swipe to the next photo in the series, King is in the same pose in a rainbow striped swimsuit. The next photo is her niece walking a path near the ocean, which then King followed up with one of her own in a light blue one-piece. The 64-year-old host captioned the photos celebrating: “cellulite cottage cheese thighs … no photoshopping allowed!”
Peloton ad goes viral for ‘sexist’ message
A new holiday ad for Peloton has people calling out the company for promoting sexism and unachievable goals. The ad for the at-home exercise bike was meant to inspire potential customers, but it faced backlash for the message and casting of the actress. The attractive, slim and fit actress plays Grace, who is given the $2,245 bike by her husband for Christmas.

The ad goes through the year as Grace films herself during her morning rides and after-work exercises, which she then compiles into a video to show her gratitude for her partner: “A year ago, I didn’t realize how much this would change me — thank you,” says Grace. Twitter users had a lot to say about the ad like calling out the choice in actor, as well as the presumed audience the company is targeting, the bike’s previous ads have all been filmed in wealthier looking homes.
